What learning can I access?

Level 1 Umpiring Course Introduction to Umpiring

    • It is aimed at those looking to umpire lower level 11 a-side games for their clubs, schools or universities and is the second step on the Umpire Development Pathway
    • Delivers theoretical aspects of umpiring to support individuals umpiring the 11-a-side game on a full-sized pitch

    • It is aimed at those with little or no umpiring knowledge and would be suitable for parent helpers, teachers or young leaders
    • Great way to learn the basics of umpiring to support you umpiring 11-a-side hockey outside of formal leagues where accreditation levels exist.




 

Umpire Developer Course  Online Workshops

 

    • It is aimed at those who are looking to help develop umpires within their clubs
    • If you would like to take the online version please click here
    • It is the first step on the Umpire Developer Pathway, featuring what good umpiring looks like and how to give effective feedback in a constructive and positive environment

 

  • Online workshops are shorter sessions, designed to cover specific areas of umpiring
  • Open to umpires of all levels
  • Share best practice and solutions to common challenges
  • Free for EH Umpiring members (membership package dependent)




 

Umpiring the Small Sided Game Practical Umpiring Sessions

 

    • Designed for anyone looking to start umpiring the small-sided versions of the game
    • Suitable for In2 Hockey, adult 7-a-side and smaller versions of the game
    • Session is designed to cover the principles / tips of umpiring these versions of the game, as well as specific rules associated

 

  • Available for anyone who has undertaken any other EH Umpiring Educational course
  • Spend time with tutors and other umpires putting theory principles in to practice
  • Learn hints and tips on how to apply certain rules of the game correctly and consistently
